Therapy
I see couples and individuals as a psychotherapist through Cardinal Counseling Group. Telehealth across Georgia, and in person in South Gwinnett County.
I am pre-licensed and practice under the administrative direction of Charlie Luther, LPC, NCC, and the clinical supervision of Dr. Amanda Nicholson, LMFT. All scheduling, intake, and billing go through Cardinal.
Most of the couples I work with come in over the same thing: one person is carrying the planning and the other is waiting to be asked, and every conversation about it ends the same way.
That is the work I know best. I also work with couples on communication, conflict that cycles without resolving, and the renegotiations that come with a new baby, a career change, or a move.
I work with adults on anxiety, life transitions, and the question of what to do next when the plan you built your life around stops fitting.
Two areas I know unusually well. Religious deconstruction: I hold a Ph.D. in Religion from Fordham University and spent sixteen years studying belief systems and how people inherit them, which turns out to be useful when someone is leaving one. And career transitions: I wrote a book called Dump Your Degree about the gap between the credential you earned and the life you actually want.
My approach draws on narrative therapy, and I work in whole-person terms, including outdoors when that fits the person and the work.
New client inquiries, availability, and insurance questions are all handled by the practice.
