Specialties

Sometimes the problem has more than one name.

You might come to therapy because of a relationship, burnout, a family conflict, a career decision, or a question about who you are becoming. Often, those things are connected. These are some of the places my work tends to begin.

How I work

I pay attention to the whole picture, not just one part of it.

My approach is integrative, culturally responsive, and attentive to mind, body, relationships, context, and meaning. I am interested in insight because insight creates options. Understanding how something started can be useful, but we also look at what is changeable, what is not, what matters now, and what you want to do next.

Eco & Nature-Based Therapy

Some conversations are easier when you're moving.

Walk-and-talk therapy offers an alternative to sitting across from one another in an office. For people who think, regulate, or speak more freely while moving, being outdoors can become part of how we work.

Walk-and-talk therapy is available in South Gwinnett County, including Lawrenceville, Loganville, and Snellville. Telehealth therapy is available statewide in Georgia.

Areas of focus

01

Relationships, marital & premarital

When the relationship needs something to change.

Relationship distress can show up as recurring conflict, distance, communication breakdowns, trust issues, or the sense that the same conversation keeps happening. I work with people in committed relationships, people preparing for marriage, married couples, and people navigating significant relationship transitions. Our work can include intimacy, expectations, household labor and mental load, changing roles, and the patterns each person brings into the relationship.

02

Family conflict

When the problem lives in the relationships, not in one person.

Families carry histories, loyalties, unspoken rules, and changing roles. Conflict can surface around caregiving, transitions, boundaries, money, or decisions. Therapy can help families understand what is happening and work on what can change between people.

03

Neurodivergence

When the way you function doesn't match the way life expects you to.

ADHD and other forms of neurodivergence can affect relationships, work, household responsibilities, routines, communication, and the stories people tell about themselves. Therapy can help separate what actually works for you from what you have been told should work.

Career and life transitions

When the life that made sense before doesn't fit anymore.

Careers, identities, responsibilities, and priorities change. Sometimes the question is not simply what job comes next, but what you want work to mean in the life you have now. Therapy can help you examine what still fits, what doesn't, and what choices are actually available.

These things overlap

You don't have to decide which box you belong in.

A career problem can also be a relationship problem. ADHD can show up in household labor. Caregiving can change a marriage, a sibling relationship, and someone's sense of self at the same time. We can start with what is happening and pay attention to the connections as they become useful.

Start with what is happening now.

You don't need to know which specialty it belongs under.
