Couples therapy may be a good fit if you’re experiencing:
Frequent conflict that goes in circles or escalates quickly
Communication breakdowns, defensiveness, or shutdowns
Emotional distance, disconnection, or loneliness in the relationship
Difficulty repairing after arguments or rebuilding trust
Resentment around responsibilities, mental load, or feeling unseen
Challenges with intimacy, friendship, or feeling like “roommates”
Major transitions such as parenting, relocation, blended family changes, or career stress
Couple's Therapy
I am a Marriage & Family Therapy Graduate Intern, providing therapy under clinical supervision in Buford, GA and via teleheatlh. My work is supported by a licensed supervisor to ensure high-quality care.
My Approach
My work with couples is relationship-centered, skills-based, and deeply practical, with a foundation in the Gottman Method (Level 1 trained) and Relational Life Therapy (RLT). In sessions, we’ll focus on helping you understand your conflict patterns, strengthen your friendship, and build tools for communication and repair. We’ll also explore the deeper dynamics underneath the surface, including the ways power, resentment, self-protection, and old wounds can show up in everyday moments. My goal is to help you move from reactive cycles into more honest, respectful, and connected partnership.
What to Expect
First step: a complimentary consultation to discuss fit and logistics
Intake session: we clarify goals and identify the main patterns you want to change
Ongoing sessions: typically weekly or biweekly, based on your needs and availability
